Collection: Dark Circles

Dark circles are not one condition. Pigmented dark circles are brown and caused by excess melanin, often genetic or sun-driven, and respond to vitamin C, niacinamide and gentle brightening actives. Vascular dark circles look blue or purple, come from visible blood vessels under thin under-eye skin, and respond better to caffeine, peptides and vitamin K. Structural hollowing casts a shadow and does not respond to topicals at all.

Most people have a combination. If you are unsure which type you have, gently stretch the skin below the eye: pigmented circles stay the same colour, vascular ones fade slightly.
